A paternoster lift is a passenger elevator which consists of a chain of open compartments (each usually designed for two persons) that move slowly in a loop up and down inside a building without stopping. Passengers can step on or off at any floor they like (source: Wikipedia).
The recording was made in former building of Elektrické podniky in Bubenská street. One of two lifts is broken and the other one still beating with the whole beautiful and functionalist monument. Still few artists and creative industry have unique place there. Hopefully the lift has still some strength in near future....
